James Doherty Obituary

From: London (Ohio) Times, Thursday 20 June 1895

West Jefferson

James Doherty, died at his home near Alton on the 12th Instant after an illness extending through many years. Deceased was the father of Dr. Will Doherty and a man of excellent character. He was a pioneer in that neighborhood, and by industry had accumulated a competence. An autopsy held by Drs. Woodruff, Norris and Jewell, revealed chronic pneumonia as the cause of death.
