George Goodson Obituary
George Goodson, a prosperous farmer of Jefferson township, died Tuesday morning, at one o'clock on his farm five miles north of West Jefferson, where he lived for forty-nine years. He was planning to move to West Jefferson when stricken with his last illness. The deceased was born February 3, 1824, Pleasant township, Franklin county and was 76 years old. Last Thursday he sustained a splinter in his left hand and as a result blood poisoning set in and resulted in his death. In 1845, he was united in marriage to Eliza Huffman, who with 4 children survive him. The children, Thomas, Mrs. Sarah Johnson, wife of Marion Bidwell and J.W. Funeral services were held at the church at West Jefferson at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
