R. H. McCloud
From Madison Democrat 50th Anniversary
Published by the Madison Democrat, 1908
The Madison County Bar has no more distinguished member than R. H. McCloud. He is a home product. His education was obtained in the London high school and the Ohio State University. He then began the study of law, having his father, also a distinguished member of the bar, as tutor. In 1879, he was admitted to practice, and has ever since been active as well as prominent in the profession. Interested in politics, an ardent Republican, he has become the accorded leader of the party in this section. He has served on county, and judicial committees, and few moves in politics are made without his sanction and co-operation. His law practice is large, and the popularity in all walks of life is very great. He is prominent as Mason and Knight of Pythias; is the senior member of the law firm of McCloud & Lincoln. As counselor his reputation is second to none.
