James F. Martin
From Madison Democrat 50th Anniversary
Published by the Madison Democrat, 1908
James F. Martin is a native of the county and is a resident of Range township. He was born and reared on the farm and has been a farmer all of his life. Mr. Martin belongs to the enterprising, educated tillers of the soil, and enjoys a splendid success in his chosen occupation.
In 1897, he married Miss Harriet Thomas and one child has come to bless the union.
Interested in politics, an ardent Republican and a popular worker in the ranks, his party nominated him in March for county commissioner. It is the opinion of all who know him, that he will not only be elected, but will perform the duties of the office with fidelity and ability.
