Biography of Chas. G. Markley

Is a son of John H. and Esther Markley. He was born in Somerford township, September 18, 1858, on the farm where he now lives. His education was obtained in the district school and in a Columbus Business College. He has always been a farmer and stock raiser. october 25, 1892, he married Mary Dow Sibley. Two children, Paul S. and John Warren have been born to this union.

Mr. Markley is an ardent Republican, taking a keen interest in national and local politics. He has served the county well as commissioner, holding the place six years, (1898 to 1904) and making a record that stamps him a business man of high order. Mr. Markley is in great demand in fiduciary capacities, having been trustee, assignee or executor in the closing up or managing large estates, in which work he has developed a natrual aptitude.
