Biography of Cheney E. Burnham

Cheney E. Burnham is a native of Champaign county and obtained his early education in the public schools of Mechanicsburg. Removing to London, he attended the high school, and on graduating embarked in the fire and life insurance business in which he demonstrated his ability as a hustler, and a capacity to write policies.

In 1906, Mr. Gordin offered him the appointment of deputy treasurer, which position he has ever since filled to the great delight of his chief and to the entire satisfactoin of all who have business in the office of the county treasurer. Mr. Burnham is married and with his wife resides in London. He is regarded as among the promising young men of the city, affable, popular, energetic; enjoying the confidence and esteem of all, his future is indeed bright.
