Typical Farm Scene in Madison County

Typical Farm Scene in Madison County

This picture was taken this spring on the old Capt. David Watson farm of 517 acres, now leased by Chas. R. May, formerly of Ross county. Mr. May is one of Madison's progressive tenant-farmers who does things on the farm and makes farming pay. In this picture will be seen sixteen horses working in the same field preparing it for a corn crop. The implements being used are two corn planters, one harrow, one drag, one Imperial pulverizer.
