Hon. David J. Schurr
David J. Schurr is a native of the county, born in Paint township, grew up on the farm and received his early education in the district school. He began to teach, and later entered Ohio Normal University, graduating with the degree of Bachelor of Sciences. He served as suprintendent of schools of Sedaila and South Solon. Later took the regular course in Wittenberg College, receiving the degree of Bachelor of Arts. Became superintendent of Plain City schools, but resigned to accept the nomination for representative. He was duly elected, and his party, Republican, in testimony of his ability and services, honored him with renomination. His election is assured, for he is a man who remembers his constituents and does things. Mr. Schurr is an active man of business, as well as student and legislator. He is one of the founders, and at present cashier, of the Fairmers' & Traders' Bank of South Solon.
